Recommendations

As issued by the authors

  1. In adults with septic shock, acute dyspnea/respiratory failure, or cardiogenic shock, we suggest using critical care ultrasonography (CCUS) to guide management.

  2. We suggest CCUS for targeted volume management vs usual care without CCUS, given evidence supporting improved mortality.

  3. Insufficient data to determine if CCUS should be used over standard care without CCUS in managing cardiac arrest.
